Maintenance

Guide rails and bearings:The guide rails and bearings at all shafts should be kept clean and well lubricated. If the manipulator is running in a dusty environment, the guide rail needs to be cleaned frequently. If you find any metal fragments or powder, it may indicate poor lubrication. In order to ensure proper lubrication, it is very important to have the right linear guidance system. Most robots have automatic lubrication systems and parts that need to be replaced regularly.

Manipulator cycle:One of the essentials to keep the manipulator running well is simple observation and listening, which can reveal much about the overall operation of the manipulator. The manipulator works through specific actions, so listen for any abnormal sounds, such as howling, clicking, etc., which indicate that the bearing cannot rotate normally or some other component is stuck. The manipulator link part moves along the guide rail equipped with power cable and vacuum hose, and will make a normal ticking sound, but this sound is smooth and stable. Check any bearings that Kowey observed to make sure they are rotating smoothly. Only need to check and listen to some signs of wear or need to be adjusted, it can greatly help to maintain the best operating condition of the manipulator.

Drive system:If the manipulator is driven by the assembly frame-transmission gear, pay attention to whether there is any hesitation or shaking during operation. All movements except smooth and smooth movements can indicate that the drive system is damaged or some foreign objects are registered inside. When the manipulator pushes down, the method to quickly check the action or backlash between the assembly beam and the transmission gear is to push and drag the moving arm, and feel abnormal movement (different back and forth movements). However, this test method will be very inaccurate due to the very high accuracy of normal manufacturer tolerances. If you suspect that there may be a problem with the assembly beam and the transmission gear, it is better to use a long-range magnetic stand. After adjusting the backlash according to the manufacturer's instructions, check the full stroke of the shaft to ensure that there is no too tight place between the assembly beam and the transmission gear. If the backlash cannot be adjusted, the mounting frame and drive gear may be worn and need to be replaced. If it is necessary to repair the mounting frame and the transmission gear, it is best to replace both components at the same time to ensure long-term performance. As for the shaft driven by the conveyor belt, pay close attention to the debris falling from the conveyor belt wear and damage to itself. Examine the pulleys carefully and watch for signs of dust originating from the belt material. Ensure complete alignment of the belt and drive pulleys and sheaves. A conveyor belt that deviates in direction will wear out very quickly. As long as the system is driven by the conveyor belt, the preload of the conveyor belt itself Kowey checked according to the manufacturer's instructions. These specifications will tell you the appropriate amount of error at a specific location of the belt relative to the pulleys.
Pneumatic system:Including multi-axis servo drive, as long as there are rotating wrist and vacuum grab action, almost all manipulators will have pneumatic function. Pay close attention to the suction cup of the filter pressure regulating valve unit, where the accumulation of water indicates that the compressed air source through the system is too humid. The presence of a small amount of moisture may be transmitted to the pneumatic valve and actuator, causing oxidation and internal contamination, which may eventually cause the pressure regulating valve to stick or the actuator to stick or fail intermittently. If the suction cup is equipped with an automatic dehumidification system, contamination or discoloration on the suction cup also indicates that moisture is increasing before removal. If water collects in the suction cup, even if the time is short, it can enter the system, causing the above-mentioned problems. If there is any physical damage to the pneumatic hose, the system may have a leak.

If the air pressure circuit is full of air at normal operating pressure and there is a leak somewhere in the circuit, then you should be more likely to find a noticeable sizzling sound, which will help you determine the location of the leak.

Check the forming equipment:The standard configuration of the manipulator is usually installed on the template of the molding equipment. When the equipment is running fast, the vibration from the forming equipment may be transmitted to the robot and may cause damage. Simply observe the operation of the molding equipment to ensure that the mold movement is adjusted to a reasonable state, reduce the number of shaking or vibration, and extend the life of the manipulator. In the case of high-speed operation, the vibration frequency may be very high, and it is best to mount the robot on a support structure independent of the molding equipment.

Pay attention to wiring wear:When inspecting the surface of the manipulator, if black particles or powder are found, it indicates that the wiring of the manipulator circuit has signs of wear. However, even if you can't find these wear signals, carefully look at all power supply, transformer or encoder cables, the inner and outer sides of the wiring path can also be, because during the production cycle, the wiring of the continuous friction manipulator, or the wiring connected to the cable guide, will eventually wear out and fail. Ensure the safety of wiring ties and the proper installation of cables.

Check the lubrication:The manipulator uses a spring-loaded lubrication rod, unless there is evidence that the guide rail is insufficiently lubricated, it only needs to be replaced once a year. Configuration of automatic lubrication system, Kowey along the manipulator movement of continuous lubrication. However, if there are some surfaces on which the manipulator cannot move normally, these areas shall be manually lubricated or lubricated by regular program-controlled actions of the automation system. If you notice rust spots, corrosion or wear on any sports surface, or just too dry, it means they are not lubricated enough. Always refer to the manipulator manual for proper lubrication of metal parts. Assembly Beam-Traditional gear systems are lubricated automatically through a lube oil storage unit, but need to be replaced annually.

Vacuum gripper circuit:The vacuum should be formed nearly instantaneously, and the appropriate controller input should be equivalent to grasping the product. If you find that the vacuum is turned on and then the input light source appears with a delay of more than 2 seconds, then there is a leak in the vacuum line, a defect, or an improper adjustment of the switching device. Through the main control panel Kowey easily tested. If the robot is equipped with a digital vacuum switching unit, it can quickly and automatically fine-tune the minimum vacuum threshold required to grasp the product. This process Kowey completed when the robot is running in automatic operation mode. The set parameters for each production cycle are saved in memory, which saves time at the next production change. The digital vacuum switching device has two other advantages: the electronic filter of the grab threshold signal compensates for the vibration of the product on the vacuum chuck during rapid movement. The product release threshold is different from the grab threshold and Kowey programmed to ensure proper release under fast production cycle conditions.
