With the rising labor cost, the aging population and the rising hardware cost caused by technological progress, the demand for service robots is rising. Moreover, the service robot industry is in its infancy worldwide, and there is no global leader. Domestic and foreign companies are on the same starting line. It is very important for companies entering this field to find out the pain points and gain the first opportunity.

It was learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on April 6 that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Finance recently jointly issuedRobot Industry Development Plan (2016-2020)To guide the rapid, healthy and sustainable development of China's robot industry.

"Planning" proposed the development of the robot industryObjectives and five main tasks:

Objective: To form a more perfect robot industry system. Technological innovation capabilities and international competitiveness have been significantly enhanced, product performance and quality have reached international similar levels, and major breakthroughs have been made in key components, basically meeting market demand.

In order to improve the above goals, the ''Planning'' puts forward five main tasks: one is to promote major iconic products to take the lead in breakthroughs; the second is to vigorously develop key parts of robots; the third is to strengthen the basic capabilities of the industry; the fourth is to focus on promoting application demonstrations; the fifth is to actively Cultivate leading enterprises.

Among them, iconic products include arc welding robots, vacuum (clean) robots, fully autonomous programming intelligent industrial robots, man-machine collaborative robots, dual-arm robots, heavy-duty AGV, fire rescue robots, surgical robots, intelligent public service robots, and intelligent care robots.

The "Plan" requires the use of policies and measures such as the central fiscal science and technology plan, industrial transformation and upgrading, central infrastructure investment, and the first (set) major technical equipment insurance compensation mechanism to support the research and development, industrialization, and promotion and application of robots and their key components.

China has become the world's largest industrial robot market for two consecutive years. The relevant person in charge of the Equipment Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology previously revealed that China's industrial robot industry will show a rapid development trend in the next 5-10 years. By the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the annual demand for industrial robots in China will reach 150000 units, with a total of about 800000 units.

The Huachuang Securities Research Report pointed out that with the rising labor costs, the aging of the population, and the rising hardware costs brought about by technological advances, the demand for service robots continues to rise. Moreover, the service robot industry is in its infancy worldwide, and there is no global leader. Domestic and foreign companies are on the same starting line. It is very important for companies entering this field to find out the pain points and gain the first opportunity.
